The Williams racer scored points on his debut, but faced an investigation post-race.
Nyck De Vries has been issued with a reprimand by Formula 1 stewards for “erratic” driving in the Italian Grand Prix, but will keep his points finish.
The Mercedes reserve was drafted into Williams on Saturday morning in place of the appendicitis stricken Alex Albon for his F1 debut, having driven the Aston Martin in FP1 on Friday.
De Vries started in eighth, alongside Max Verstappen at Monza, after grid penalties, but drove a composed race to bank two points for ninth place, just behind 2020 Italian GP winner Pierre Gasly.
However, during the late Safety Car period, the stewards deemed De Vries to have driven “erratically”, and so summoned him for a hearing.
After the investigation, the 2020/21 Formula E champion was just hit with a reprimand – his first of the season.
It means he gets to keep the points he earned, and will not incur any further penalties should he be required for Singapore if Albon has not recovered from the surgery he requires.

Max Verstappen took his tenth win of 2022 at Zandvoort, but once again there was plenty of attention on off-track matters, with Oscar Piastri confirmed at McLaren for 2023, and Alpine left licking their wounds and searching for another driver.
