Imola makes an unexpected return to the Formula 1 calendar this weekend, and it’s still all to play for in F1 Fantasy. With loads of prizes up for grabs as we head into the final stages of the season, here are some tips for your team for the upcoming Emilia Romagna Grand Prix…
Make sure to sign up to the New Circuits Mini League to be in with a chance of winning a signed Max Verstappen cap from Red Bull. Even if you join late, the game still counts your score from the previous Grand Prix at Portimao, so that cap could still be yours!

A lot of Fantasy players seem to be converging on a similar strategy for the final five races of the season, and many of your teams are featuring more and more of the same drivers. That makes sense, because of course, you’d want to pick the highest-scoring drivers of the season.
However, it’s best to wait until the end of the only practice session of the weekend on Saturday morning to get a better feeling of who’s performing well at Imola. Just make sure to change your team before the deadline, which kicks in when qualifying begins.

As usual, there are some standout performers that you should keep your eye on: Charles Leclerc is about to hit a five-race streak of top-10 finishes, which would net him 10 extra points, while Pierre Gasly has enjoyed terrific form lately, and Sergio Perez remains the biggest bargain in the game as he’s scored 207 points with a sub-$10m price tag. And you’ll want likely winners Mercedes in there as your team, and one of their drivers, of course…
Then it’s up to you to choose a cheaper driver to add valuable points to your team. Nobody can predict retirements, but at under $10 million, Kimi Raikkonen – who is the only current driver to have raced in F1 at Imola – is a consistent scorer with 17 from Portimao, and Haas’ Kevin Magnussen continues his healthy form having made 11 last time out.

Portimao saw Lewis Hamilton dominate for his record 92nd Grand Prix victory, and that’s reflected in the Team of The Week; Hamilton scored 147 points with a timely use of the Mega Driver powerup. And Pierre Gasly, who finished fifth for AlphaTauri, was the Turbo Driver, raking in 58 points.
The other three drivers in the latest Team of the Week were P14 Williams driver George Russell with eight points, seventh-place finisher Sergio Perez who scored 17 and sixth-place McLaren driver Carlos Sainz, who scored a solid 23.
The constructors to have, of course, were Mercedes, as the Silver Arrows took a one-two thanks to Hamilton and team mate Valtteri Bottas in both the race and qualifying. With five extra points for completing a three-race qualifying streak, Mercedes took 75 points in all, to take the total to 328.
