F1 News: Red Bull Rejects Porsche Offer As Company Tries To Enter Formula 1

Helmut Marko of Red Bull Racing has admitted to F1-Insider.com that Porsche will not be joining the Austrian team after rumours that they would have swept across the internet. This comes after Audi, a brand also under the VW umbrella, has been confirmed to be joining the sport in 2026.
2026 is an important year for F1 as it marks the change of engine regulations that currently govern the modern powertrains. Audi, knowing it will want to start at the same point as every other team on the grid, will make its entrance at this point, and it was looking as though Porsche would follow.

But after a recent interview with Helmut Marko, it’s looking as though this won’t happen despite Audi admitting Porsche’s interest in the sport. So with Red Bull out of the running, I do wonder where they’re going to be looking.
Porsche is reportedly wanting a 50% share in Red Bull, but the racing team isn’t happy with this.
Porsche “will not become a shareholder of us”, Marko said, adding that Red Bull doesn’t need help to build an engine. With this looking like a closed and shut case, Porsche is now reportedly talking with McLaren, but the British team will, again, be hard to win over.
