AlphaTauri duo Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda have revealed what happens immediately after a race start in Formula 1, and what their thoughts are during it.
It’s one of motorsport’s oldest sayings, but one of the most truthful.
You can’t win a race at the first corner, but you can certainly lose it.

Plenty of drivers through the years have fluffed their race start, gone for broke into Turn 1 and caused a carbon confetti shower as a result.
In the latest part of AlphaTauri’s online series, drivers Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda talk through their thought process at lights out and how to even start a Formula 1 car.
