Mugello hosts its first Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix and the ninth round of the 2020 season this weekend – and there are lots of F1 Fantasy points to be scored. In our latest guide, we look at the drivers on streaks, when to play your second wildcard of the season and plenty more tips for the Tuscan Grand Prix
If you forgot to join the Italian Double Mini League last week, you can still do so, for a chance to win a signed Antonio Giovinazzi cap. There’s also the Race To The Finish Mini League that kicks off with the Russian Grand Prix and spans the second half of the season, with a Mercedes cap signed by Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas up for grabs, so don’t miss out on that.

The spotlight is on Sergio Perez this week, after he announced his shock move away from Racing Point yesterday – and he’s also the driver to buy for Mugello.

Primed to complete both a qualifying streak and race streak at the Tuscan GP, Perez could net 15 extra bonus points with a top-10 finish in qualifying and the race. And that just screams ‘Turbo Driver’ – the powerup which would double his points for this week.
Mercedes’ Valtteri Bottas is also in line for a 10-point bonus if he finishes in the top 10 at Mugello, and Red Bull’s Alex Albon could get five points for qualifying in the top 10 as he too is on a qualifying streak.
There’s also another chance to net a huge amount of points using streaks, which will kick in in a couple of races, but we thought it’s worth flagging early.
Lewis Hamilton is two races away from achieving another streak in qualifying and the race, which means he could bag 15 extra points at the Nurburgring on October 11 – so keep that in mind when you’re tinkering with your team over the next few weeks.

As players receive an extra Mega Driver powerup from Round 10 onwards, save it for the Eifel Grand Prix and bet on Hamilton to score big there. That could make your season.
Perez is a safe bet as a Turbo Driver but that doesn’t mean he’ll be the highest-scoring driver.
Gasly continues to yield dividends after his incredible Italian GP win – he scored 45 Fantasy points from that – and the AlphaTauri driver is essential for your team, but Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll and Daniel Ricciardo are still healthier midfield scorers.

For those with a budget under $10m, Kimi Raikkonen, his team mate Antonio Giovinazzi and AlphaTauri’s Daniil Kvyat are the way to go. There’s no form guide to go by for Mugello yet (since this is the first Grand Prix at the track), but after the Italian Grand Prix, the form guide might well be the last thing you need anyway…
Oh, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t base your team around Hamilton and Mercedes. The top scoring driver, reigning champion, and constructor have been sublime this season and their F1 Fantasy points reflect that.
