Australian Grand Prix organisers have announced when the 2023 event will be held, subject to final approval from F1's governing body, the FIA.
Next year’s Australian Grand Prix is set to be staged on the weekend of 31 March to 2 April, race organisers have revealed.
After two missed dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Melbourne’s Albert Park Circuit made a welcome return to the F1 calendar in 2022.
It slotted into the roster in early April, after races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, rather than resuming its previous season-opener status.
A minor change for 2023 sees the event brought forward by a week from 10 April to the aforementioned March/April dates.
In another twist, F2 and F3 are due to join F1 in Australia next year, with the support categories making the trip Down Under for the first time.
F1’s full 2023 calendar, along with news on events such as the Belgian GP and the potential arrival of South Africa, is set to be confirmed in the near future.
